The gop Congress controlled the House for six out of those eight years. Do you blame them also/. Or do you think a president does it all by himself? I say this because Reagan asked Congress for massive new spending, massive tax cuts and massive debt. He was fiscally irresponsible and he destroyed fiscal conservatism. Instead of balancing budgets they became tax cutters. Tax cutters are debt creators, not fiscal conservatives. The era of tax cuts gave took us from less than $1 trillion of debt to over $21 trillion. If anyone wants to call that fiscal conservatism have at it so we can destroy them using their own words.
