I expect Putin to give Trump a "well done". Crimea is now accepted as being Russian, which it has been since before one of my great great grandfathers was wounded and died from his wounds in a British Empire attack on Crimea and Russia 160 years ago. Trump has also not ramped up Ukraine's eastern conflict into Armageddon so that's also very good. John Kerry, Obama, F-bomb Nuland, Powers, Clinton, Rice and the other hideous Harpies were wanting total carnage in Ukraine and did ramp things up enough that an airliner was shot down which I thought was going to be me 2 weeks before. Maybe my A380 was obviously not a military aircraft. From the ground it must be hard to see what's military and what's not 12 kilometres high. Flying over such conflict is insane but what can you expect from the aviation world which is not noted for intelligence. They even lose an airliner despite GPS having been invented decades ago along with radio via Globalstar and other links. A simple SPOT device would track aircraft taking the SEARCH out of SEARCH and RESCUE. My brother in law, a Qantas pilot, took our son's SPOT device in the cockpit over the Tasman Sea. We could track him and watch him park the 737 at the gate in Sydney. Cost = zero [$100 per year which is near enough to zero]. In Syria Trump will also get a pretty good grade from Putin because he finished off ISIS which was very annoying to Putin. Trump did murder a lot of Russian soldiers who were in Syria so that was a black mark. Mostly Trump avoided direct attacks on Russians. Trump has also accepted that Mr Assad and his lovely English wife Asma are better caretakers of Syria than any variation of Islamic barbarity. So that's good. Putin won't mind that Iran has been persuaded by Israel and USA to pull their horns in, in Syria and Lebanon. Trump has also not ramped up conflict in the Baltic states and World Cup entertainment is proceeding happily. Russia is also right there on the border of north Korea and China so Big D's successful diplomacy with Kim the Fatter and Emperor Xi avoiding Armageddon starting there has avoided Siberian catastrophe for Russia. Russia can go on happily supplying China from the vast hydrocarbon reserves in the east of Russia. Putin should give Big D a very good grade. Even a Very Stable Genius rating. When he gets the Nobel Prize as well, you might even think he's doing okay. #Walkaway Mqurice
