Scott, the utes little run here lately along with REITs and CEFs gave me a nice total return since May of about 6%... similar results for the iWife who has whittled away at her cash hoard and is now down to just 24% in cash...

This last week was a barn burner for both of us in terms of divvies/distributions and including all of June's payouts, it was a huge leap over our previous high water mark for income from our various IRAs... my YOC is now 11.56%, but more importantly we have hit our income goals and still have significant cash (well, my wife does), to send it even higher... in the early days she thought I was pushing too many utes on her... she now loves all of her utes (and REITS)... two segments a little more recession proof in the short run than most, but we've both rounded out our PFs with the traditional DGI things like JNJ, PG, KO, etc.... they've been lagging a bit, but not out of regular routine performance for those...

I sold all of my pure oil/ng E&Ps in 2015, but kept CVX just to have something -- I liked the moves they were making in ng in Australia and the fact they have more Permian basin acreage than anyone... the wife doesn't want anything oily, but does have a full position in EPD which has been very good to her (and me!)...
