As Obama consistently states, there is "clean coal technology". However, there is no "clean coal".

And "clean coal technology" is a desperate plea by the coal industry to remain relevant. The only "clean coal technology" plant that I am aware of is one outside of Houston. That's in Texas. They found a company who can use the CO2 in industrial processes a short distance away so they could build a pipeline reasonably inexpensively so they could sell it. Even then, only a couple of the generation units are "clean coal technology".
