Yes the very stupid people who build houses in the woods where no one lived previously are smart phone equipped and pics and vids make the news, especially if it fits the AGW porn science agenda of socialist marxists.

Over 40 years ago, California stopped clearing the underbrush in it's forests and open land. (they didn't want to disturb small animals which live in the underbrush). They also started putting out the small brush fires that naturally occur which allows underbrush to be consumed with no danger to the larger trees which also live on the same land. Now it is reaping the whirlwind of consequence for its ignorant actions by suffering from far larger and more destructive fires than otherwise would have occurred. It's called poor land management.

The first time I ever saw what they were doing here I was appalled and remarked to my friends that this state was full of kindling which could wipe out entire areas if it ever caught fire. As a young child growing up in wooded areas of the midwest, I was taught at an early age that clearing underbrush in wooded areas was extremely important to prevent large fires from taking place. I used to hate the job, but my brother and I spent every winter doing just that on our family farm. .

California is a victim of its own ignorance and stupidity. They obviously do not know what a boy the age of 10 or 12 knows in the state in which I was born.
