Then define the scientific basis for when something becomes a person.

A human blood cell is not and will never be a human person.
A human liver cell is not and will never be a human person.

A human is a multi-cellular creature composed of nearly 1 Trillion human cells with human DNA and around 49Trillion bacterial cells.

Most of those cells are alive... But, by themselves, none of those cells are a human person.

Which is why I keep asking for clarification.

As it stands, it is like asking "why is an orange?".

That is, assuming he understands the "science" like he claims. Because it is a really ambiguous question from a biological point of view.
