Ramsey, think you're being far too rational--this market is still one scared mother and little irrelevancies like subscribers using CDMA make no difference. The kind of action we've been seeing with the Q over the past few days is exactly what I would expect for another 4-6 months until the SEA thing gets sorted out. A whole bunch of little jittery ups and downs with no real direction. Yesterday SEA was solved and no more worries mate. Today, well maybe not. I think it's more important than ever that we stick to the facts but not be surprised if the market ignores them--one day, it'll catch up.
Have a suggestion on this SCDMA thing. If one of you guys wants to state the issue clearly and post it on the Motley QCOM thread, address it to SVP Technology @ QCOM, a guy named K. Gilhausen (I can get correct spelling), he monitors that board and will respond from time to time, particularly if it is a narrowly specific techie question. He's a good guy and responds with the real meat and potatoes. Last, if SCDMA is what Terayon is pushing, I can tell you that George Gilder thinks the stuff is the cat's p.j.'s--he is absolutely bonkers over its potential. He has never indicated however that the Chinese own the IPR's--only Terayon so I can't figure out if the two technologies are one in the same. Mike Doyle
