Don.....interesting your observation on the bottom spotter clustering.....and its potential implications. I hadn't thought about that and I think it is noteworthy ~

It also prompted me to reopen some of my earliest Excel CLX work and I was able to pull out a couple of relevant charts of how the bottom spotter behaved during the significant selloffs in the 2000 and 2008 time periods that some might want to review here. Note the differences in scale when viewing these and the recent daily charts.....they can vary significantly depending on the timeframe and can affect the perspective.

The bottom spotter has turned out to be one of the most reliable concepts I have developed in my myriad of efforts to visualize CLX behavior. The top spotter once was 'spot on' but it did not remain so and I am becoming intrigued enough to being to look for the filters that might stabilize the components involved.

The current bottom spotter is stubbornly avoiding deactivation by returning to the zero line....but the offset numbers it is working against somewhat predicted this behavior. It is important to remember that this current price selloff in the Dow is in no way comparable to the selloffs depicted in the enclosed charts.

I truly love to follow the markets and read and learn from this forum every day. Thanks for posting my WW charts. I am happy to share when I can.

Warm wishes to all ~

Joanne
