Over 2 months with 700 homes destroyed and not one person relocated with gov't help. But they did form task force. -ng- There has been a lot of discussion about raising taxes to pay for police overtime due to numerous 24/7 roadblocks costing us over $2,000,000 month. nothing like priorities. of course, the same leaders haven't mentioned rolling back their pay increases they voted themselves in January. true story. The Mayor appointed a Salary Commission which then determined the Council and County dept honchos weren't making enough MORE than workers in their depts. so the Commission recced huge salary increases and the Mayor said: "We have to abide by what the commission says." hawaiitribune-herald.com Our property taxes have more than doubled in just 3 years.
