But does you're technical analysis take into account factors such as a general market selloff with Asia and a weird scenario resulting because of one guy Dirks. Do these books mention anything about factors that can make such a chart come out wrong? I'm being honest in my question. Not trying to be snippy.

Adam-
I've been a CNC shareholder for quite a few years, but I agree with you that the technical chart is worrisome. I'd love to commit some $$$ here, but besides the fact that I have no more $$$ to commit I've noticed some other bearish charts in the insurance industry. After all, good companies can get taken down in a sector demise. On the fundamental side, however, I'm trying to figure out why ins. stock charts can look so rotten with interest rates so low.
