"We should have just gone to the Canadian system, jacked up taxes on the wealthy and corporations and
moved on."

????? I thought American corporations were purchasing Canadian companies to re-domicile in Canada for lower Tax rates?

"Investors and tax experts say the main reason for Burger King to move its domicile to Canada is to avoid having to pay double taxation on profits earned abroad, as the company would likely be subject to do if it remained in the United States."

Top federal income tax bracket in Canada 33% vs 39% in US.
canada.ca.

Imagine all the money we could raise with a 22% Federal Sales Tax that EVERYONE HAS TO PAY?
