New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind criticized Schumer in a letter blasting the New York Democrat for a fundraising mailer filled with attacks on President Trump. The longtime Democrat from Brooklyn, who is not seeking re-election, revealed how the “letter was riddled with attacks on the ‘hard right’ but omitted vital information,” according to a post on Hikind’s Facebook page. “Senator Schumer, in your letter you promise to fight for Democratic values and go on at great length to fully villainize the current administration, but you left out certain facts that my fellow Democrats, to say nothing of all Americans, should also be aware of,” the lawmaker, who has served the 48th Assembly District for more than three decades, wrote, launching into several examples.
