trey, of course, nobody know why stocks move up or down in many instances. although it is a matter of opinion, i do not think mu faked anybody out by their 1 time gain.

their price moved up b/c the pricing increases in dram was well publicized and, in fact, the company reported $0.46 the following q.

that is excellent growth deserving of an excellent pe - if sustained.

that is where i think people were duped. mu management, certain stock pimps and others made it sound like mu could continue growing in light of pricing collapses.

people have so little faith in their own abilities they rely on charlatins to tell them the "truth."

so, we disagree. i might be right and you may be wrong ;-) just kidding. we'll never know for sure.

good luck,

skeets out.

Trey, regarding MU earnings in Q2, 97 and .18 vs .66, I stated that financial databases were misleading a year ago. I just checked the source below, and it still indicates .66 with no mention of extraordinary income from the MUEI sale. How can one analyse financial data if it can be so misleading?
The answer is that I don't any more. I still bet that when the earnings are reported in March, they will be compared to the .18 operating profit of last year, and not the .66 that the databases are showing.
