well yeah people are assholes human nature will never change the "barbarism" of a couple thousand years ago is already hardwired in just need to flip the right switch, one might argue it never left. my observation is the mob fascism that has been going on for the last few years in the US is not carried out by the "have nots" though the actors are certainly trying to intersectionalize everyone into their side because just about everyone here lives high on the hog vs traditional standards of poverty, there is the need to make it about race, gender, etc otherwise who's gonna look up from their xbox/phone?
