At the time I thought he was great. And I was also impressed with how skillfully he was able to fend off the attacks. But as I became more objective and with the benefit of hindsight, I decided that he was a C+/B-. Which was a lot better than the D/F I give to his successor, but not as great as I thought of him at the time.

BTW, it occurs to me that I need a new grading scale. Because if I give W an F, then what the hell should I give to Trump?
