None of what you wrote matters. Trump controlled the media 24/7 during the primaries and the general election. He's controlled it every day since he was sworn in. If anyone thinks a profit-driven media is going to kill their cash cow they're sadly mistaken. Trump knows this too. He lies, the media prints his lies, the media gets clicks, they make money. Rince and repeat.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. But one point. We are talking about marginal vote totals. Given just how close this election, it doesn't take many to turn the electoral college results. I'm afraid that both of my points--a portion of the population still susceptible to socialist/communist stuff and a portion of minorities not as eager to vote for Sanders as for Clinton, both are likely enough to have been the swing vote.
