Portfolio update July 20, 2018..... some gains and the loss of another stock

well it was quite a week.... we lost Canwel Holding Inc [TSX:CWX] to a limit stop-loss order and also placed a similar Limit Stop-loss order on Dream Global REIT [TSX:DRG/UN.TO] which looks like it will sell soon but we have our fingers crossed it will recover.

But through all this we gained another .8% this week to rise to a profit of 11.8% this year which is really not bad with about 5.5 months to go til we have 12 months of investment.

Since we bought CWX.TO before June 28 we collected a $210.00 on July 13 which helps mitigate the loss a bit to only about $550.

We also got another dividend of $166.80 for DRG/UN for a total dividend accumulation of $666.70 since we bought it... if we survive til July 30 with this stock we will gain another $166.80.

In total we have accumulated at total of $1663.05 in dividends.... of course I would consider this a Tax Free Saving Account (TFSA) so we pay no tax on any gains in this Canadian account. :)

TLT.V gained about $0.03/share .
AI.TO gained about $0.38/ share as well

I have $25,640 in cash.... at this point I have no new stock to buy or perhaps I will add to existing holdings (thinking of AI.TO right now. I will dwell on this for a couple of days
