So let's assume that both parties are equally corrupt and that there is currently no viable 3rd party alternative. In that case it comes down to which party favors the policies and programs that I as a citizen want. In my case, that will be the Democrats, so I hold my nose and vote Democratic.

When the Koch brothers spent almost $1 billion in the last election cycle (what we know of, which is not all of it) this is not what our founders wanted. The rich should not be able to buy the most expensive whore.
