And what will you think if Lucent does acquire Ascend? To tell you the truth, this does worry me to some degree because Lucent has been awfully agressive lately. Although LU does have some strong numbers, I still don't think that they could beat CSCO. But, it would be a big, bloody battle, that is for sure. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Its day is coming I believe that one!! As a long term investor, I saw what happened last year when people were worried about the network industry not growing as much as at first anticipated. The industry's stocks got slammed for that, but CSCO nonetheless held on and has been the only one has not been afflicted. Hey, I think that the network industry is a great one to be in these days, so don't get me wrong. But I have to go with the company that has consistantly flexed its muscles and has advanced above and beyond high growth rate of the industry. If ASND does show the world that it is still a worthy investment, then MORE POWER TOO IT!! Have a good one.... JH
