Gary,

I would recommend start reading this thread from the beggining.
You will find a plethora of info to get your started. You will
also find threads for software commonly mentioned here like TC2000,
Quotes Plus, Windows on Wallstreet, Advanced Get, Metastock, etc....

You will find links to Andy's best of the best page where you
can find lots of formula's to use with the software etc....

This place is a virutal goldmine for anyone interested in TA.

good luck,
Sean

Hello Gary,

Sean said exactly what I was going to say.... Read as many of the old post as you can and then post your questions. All the indicators I mentioned can be run in MetaStock For Windows (MSWIN) and Windows On WallStreet (WOW). You can also run some variations of them in Quotes Plus, TC2000 and most other charting packages.

The important thing is to try to get a feel for them. Try to understand what they are saying and then expand them by using them in various combinations. The more you use them the more you will understand them.

By the way, Welcome to the Boards..... Please keep those questions coming...
