For the petrodollar to collapse, Saudi Arabia would have to have a beef with the US. Trump is allowing US citizens to sue them over 9/11 etc. and China would need to able to supply SA with weapons. China has some interesting stuff in the pipeline but nothing major yet.

The petro-yuan would move quickly across the globe since no one can stand the US anymore. There isn't enough money in the world to finance the debt republicans are creating. What happens when the US dollar collapses? IMO, the US would cease to exist within a matter of hours, not months. Our T-bills would sell off, bank credit would freeze, payrolls would not be met etc. It'd be the Great Recession on steroids and there isn't anyone in this WH who knows finance.
