ALPNET Attracts New Key Managers

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- ALPNET, Inc. (Nasdaq: AILP - news), the international translation and
localization services company, today announced that it has hired two key managers to help grow the Company.

Andrew Wilson, a former Director of Operations and Business Development for Fact Media International in Vancouver, has
joined the Company as Director of U.S. Operations based in ALPNET's Salt Lake City office. Christopher Cynkin, a former
Director/Owner of Interverbum in Stockholm, has joined the Company as European Resources Manager based in ALPNET's
Croydon U.K. office. Both Andrew and Christopher bring ALPNET a wealth of experience and knowledge. Andrew lived
and worked in Japan for several years and developed a strong expertise in multimedia localization while he was with Fact
Media. Born and educated in Poland, Christopher developed Interverbum to become one of the leading localization firms in
Sweden and has an in-depth knowledge of Eastern European markets. Interverbum was sold over a year ago and integrated
into a larger Swedish group.

''We are pleased that Andrew and Christopher were attracted to our Company,'' commented Jaap van der Meer, president of
ALPNET. ''We are proud to have over 450 professionals working throughout our worldwide network. In the coming year,
we are planning to hire about 100 people to support the increasing volumes of work we are receiving from our global clients as
we continue our quest to become the industry leader.''

''The primary constraint for growth of leading companies in this market is the scarcity of qualified technical people and project
managers. Our response to this issue is threefold. We are working to attract the best individuals with impressive reputations,
we are integrating professional teams of people and companies with complementary high quality skills, and we are training our
own people and working closely with universities throughout the world to establish a large talent pool. This last activity is an
area which will be strategically developed by Christopher. We expect to announce more additions in the near future.''

ALPNET is the largest publicly-owned dedicated supplier of worldwide translation and product localization services, with
more than 450 employees working in 14 countries throughout Europe, North America and Asia. ALPNET supplies its clients
