I think it has a lot more to do with accepting what Trump tweets as fact and then fitting any evidence around that. Trump tweets that his people were set up by the FBI and she figures out a way to fit the facts to that.

[Katelew] is an enigma to me. Could it be as simple as being a Fox watcher? That's certainly possible. She doesn't seem inclined to reply to my posts, so other people will need to dig a littler deeper into her psyche. I am interested in people's core beliefs whether they are based on logic or political ideologies or even religious tenets. Steven Pinker has an idea that if someone wants to persuade you of their position, they may start by using reason. Once they start using reason, you would hope that they would continue doing so until the end of the discussion. It's interesting for me to see when people abandon reason and retreat behind some article of faith.
