Yes, MSB, that house that sank into oblivion was in a very expensive San Francisco neighborhood, Sea Cliff. Houdini built a striking house there in the twenties, a marble rectangular design that looked a lot like a mausoleum, and Robin Williams lives there also. There's a nice, clothing optional, beach at the bottom of the cliff!!!

I don't want to rag about the weather here, because it is not even in the same category as the ice storms in the east, but it has been raining hard for days and the ground is really saturated. There are a lot of power outages, and the rivers are near flood stage, and there is a week of storms waiting off the coast. The waves are twenty feet high, so the surfers have all congregated at Ocean Beach to tempt fate. My daughter is planning to go HIKING at Yosemite next week with her class, and the combination of lots of snow and very icy, narrow roads going up there is making me nervous.

Hey, what's wrong with eating animal crackers in bed??
