So let's walk through this - we print paper this year to pay the debt that is due, that devalues the USD, so next year we have to print even more paper, which adds more fuel to the fire and burns more of the USD value...what do we do the year after that?

Saying that we have "unlimited" credit is too theoretical. In reality, no tree ever grows to the sky, no stock takes over the whole market, and no empire lasts forever...though I am pretty sure the unlimited credit scenario is a fast path to ending this one.
