The youngsters are no longer interested in a relationship. The women gave up reproduction.

It started back in the 80s. I use a bunch of Canadians and English about 27 year old in 1986.

They were volunteer workers in Nigeria

The ones I reconnect , via social media, are childless.

then did not have good prospects to have a family.

I think it was a combination of factors that led them to by pass reproduction.

  • Lack or no interest in a job.(although they were all college educated)
  • First female generation post feminism and those young women wanted "freedom" and "independence"

The next generation of women is no longer post feminism young women wanting "freedom" and "independence".

Given their level of income, they compare the lifestyle with kids and without them and choose to be childless.

Childless folks can afford a better lifestyle.

Like the gay couples:. They are sought by marketing folks because they can consume more stuff, services vacations homes since the do not reproduce.

My friend Jana from Czech Republic -got pictures just now- is now vacationing in Croatia with 3 kids.
Without kids she could be here in Masai Mara Kenya or in Brazil.
