If that was the case, then Trump would not have been elected. The economy was doing just fine.

Obama had a joke in one of the correspondence dinners in which he said something like, 'you can't govern using slogans like "replace and replace" and then added, "change we can believe in." I got a chuckle out of it.

Dems have the slogans and the policies. Republicans only have dim-witted slogans. No one asked to see their health care plan in eight years and the party knew they wouldn't ask to see it because they know republican voters and the media are full of morons.

It may have been the economy then. We have a great economy now, but no one's wages have gone up, except for CEO's. We have jobs or can get one. Trump seems to be not profiting at all from the economy.
