I watch in amazement the emotional character of the "market" and the analysts that occur daily or over the "near term".
What have we learned today? Anything? That humans can rationalize anything in any way they choose?
The one thing I learned is that about 4 months ago an article was written that Samsung is moving in a slower-than-expected manner with production of some of its chips. This has led to a "selloff" in memory and chip equipment stocks. Now we are breathlessly awaiting the quarterly earnings announcement of these stocks starting tomorrow with LRCX, and most importantly, their outlook for the future.

The collective humans involved in the market can and do rationalize anything in any way they choose based on their emotions and no facts.

Hi Sam,

I'd say those who win will be those who master yield at lower nodes and or dimensions (planar vs 3d).

Let the games begin and China is not even in the background.
