The word is "drivel", quite appropriate to talk of ZITL contract announcements. For the longs here, I went long yesterday on Intersolv (ISLI) based on a large contract with Sprint. This is my first long in a Y2K company. You may want to check it out. SI thread is not very informative so I'm interested in anything you can turn up.

Good luck.

Hi ya Stan ! !

So you're lurking over there too, eh ! Too funny :)) Kind of scary too! I wouldn't presume to speak for Susan or Jas but I'd bet anything you'd be welcome any old time :)) As would a few others:))

I totally agree that most of the posts leave a lot to be desired.
There are a couple of people, trendliner & opticalguy, as Jas pointed out, that are worth the trip over there.

Here's what's interesting to me, the quality of the posts aside, what I initially found attractive about Yahoo was it's higher percentage of long's, of which I am obviously one. To me it's a lesson in what the human animal is willing to overlook in order to feel "wanted" :))
My point is that over here I've felt "unwanted" as have many other longs IMO-present company not included :)))) more smiles :))))))), and Bob T., TedD, Lyle, and some other exceptions as well.
Point is many longs left the thread, now I find them starting to show up over at Yahoo and to my great surprise, some of the most vehement shorts seem to have followed them. I find the whole thing very interesting.
Smacks of Yin & Yang, Simon & Garfunkel, Ferrante & Teicher, Seals & Croft, Gin & Tonic, Leather & Lace (my personal favorite) ok, enough.

And that's about all I've got to say, about anything. :))))

Adios, cucaracha ! ! ! - I think that's Orkin's line :)

Deep Digm

PS. Drivel; to slobber, drool, to talk or utter stupidly.
More grool & grogg for everyone :))

PPS; If I remember correctly Rodney decided to "get along" AFTER he was awarded his settlement. If I was mayor of L.A. I would have guaranteed him no appeal by the city in exchange for that statement. Just my cynical side coming out.

Dear Stan,
COME ON DOWN! We'll just agree to disagree. I'm with
you regarding YAHOO! I tried to sign on over there to post and
was told that someone had already claimed the name I use
everywhere, SMHakala. That was a weird feeling. I agree with
Deep, though, Opticalguy and Trendliner make it more than
worth the price of admission.
Susan

Good afternoon Stanley,
FEEL FREE TO LEAVE THE DARK SIDE AND JOIN US WITH THE FORCE<VBG> Things are getting somewhat out of hand over at the Yahoo message boards to say the least. Anyhow, here are a couple articles regarding the y2k issue in general:

zdnet.com
techweb.cmp.com
techweb.cmp.com

Is anyone thinking of going to the shareholders meeting??

Sincerely,

Jas
