Cheeky Kid, Here in the San Francisco Bay area, there are lots of MLMers marketing ISPs, and I am sure that the ones that remain financially viable and have large customer bases, will be gobbled up by the big ISPs. And this is okay; the small ISPs will make money in being acquired and/or merged. I believe Future Net, a TV setbox, is an MLM company. I hear they fly out the door, much like WebTV. My main reason for staying with one of the national ISPs is that no matter where I go my ISP has a local dialup number--something none of the local or smaller ISPs offer. One thing I forgot to mention in my previous post is that while many rural and isolated areas do not have cable now, I think this is just a matter of time. Even within the last 25 years, there were areas here in the States that did not have telephone, power, and gas service but have these things now. Cable too will reach them. It's just a matter of time, and probably not all that much time. Yeah. Windows and system crashes. How well I know. But that's another debate. Except for using Windows and Netscape to access the Net, I still call DOS and DESQview my home stomping ground. BTW, what part of Canada do you live in? Hope you're not in the stormy part. Holly
