I am worried about Alexandra Ocasio-Cortex and the far left going too far. I think my position right now is right between Bernie and Hillary. I think most liberals probably are in that place. Ocasio wants to set up a sub committee of the progressive dems and I think that is a terrible idea.It sounds like the freedom caucus which splits the dems and would force untenable ideas on the dems. A couple of quick thoughts and reasons not to worry. The first is that we are long way from anything happening so it's a bit too early to worry. But, second, and more important, those groups are the way members leverage their positions. There are already Dem caucus groups representing all sorts of interests, political positions, etc. Not surprising that these like minded souls might find a way to gather. But the key, at least for me, is just how dogmatic they are. Way, way too early to tell on that one.

I don't understand the negativity against Alexandria (great name btw :^) From everything I've seen from her she is for universal healthcare, a fair living wage, and everything liberals stand for How is this different from Bernie Sanders? other than coming off as a grumpy curmudgeon ... she also doesn't appear to have any negative baggage she's obviously whip smart... and she sure is cute!
