Mike,

I married a gal with red hair and the last name of Fagen. To be sure it's been a high time we've had every day of the last 20 years of bliss<g>.
My mother is pure French - emotion rules supreme. Dad is as pure as an American Revolutionary can be - wears his Son's of the American Revolution ring with pride. So that makes me a half breed of sorts. Valerie on the other hand, despite the fact that she is many times removed from her home land has managed to maintain all the fight and grit you might expect from patty. We're quite a pair <g>.

As for Kirkland signature brands, they are,as far as I know, a wholely owned subsiderary of Cost I think that's what they call it. So when you buy Cost you have bought Kirkland. I think.. Here's an instance where Mat can rescue us both since I am only guessing but he always speaks with authority, knows Costco like the back of his hand. :o)

Now, here's a tip that might pay off for you if you have the cash and the inclination to investigate the stock. I have touted this company a few times and Investor's B.Daily also ran a piece about them. Chart Industries has been very very good to me. I bought and then it split. Currently he stock is a bargin as the asia problem has created jitters. The thread as some comments about all this and you will find it interesting. I was going to dump my dough into a semi but frankly now I think I will stick to my old friend CTI, It's been a steady eddy, chips are a roller coaster ride, I guess am too old to play that game after all.

exchange2000.com

Check it out, the stock is around 19 right now.

Regards

Jim

Mike,

Looks like most of your questions got already answered. As Jim mentioned, Kirkland Signature is Costco house brand name. Easy to see where they got the name, since they're headquarted in Kirkland, WA.

And Mattie's answer is to your other question sounds right to me. It does seem that the weirder the pseudonym, the weirder the posts they do. I guess it's a good thing that Tim's dog was not name B#@iii492!

My family will be vacationing in Hawaii this summer. Going to Kauai and the Big Island. The company I'm with (Nintendo) has two beach houses north of Kona that we'll be staying at. We went to them two years ago. And boy, they are nice!
They are situated on a small bluff, with access to one of the nicest beaches that I;ve ever snorkelled at. So, I'm jealous right now of you being in Maui, (what with our gray skies keeping the scenery so green), I won't have to be in about 5 months!

Well, keep buying at Costco. (Those 5 galleon jars of sunscreen are really a good bargain <g>)
