Thanks everyone for your responses to my questions.. it is most appreciated.

Now, another one... perhaps a bit more advanced.. I'd like to hear your opinions about buying options in the money vs. out of the money.

It was kind of you to say I was close, but close only counts in hand
grenades & horseshoes. <g>

If I may impose once more, ther are so many various indicies anymore
I have completely lost track of what expires on Thursday & what expires on Friday. I recall the break up of expirations to attempt to avoid the wild fluctuations seen on quarter end. With all the techs
over on NASDAQ, I suppose the expiration days of the following would
be of interest:

SPX
OEX
NDX
SOX
NYA
