Perhaps naive of me but I have noticed that each increase in market volatility is followed by at least one more subsequent increase in market volatility.......

More volatility to come....

I believe another 500 point drop is due sometime soon.....gut feeling....looking for stocks that ABOSULUTELY TANK when this happens....Any candidates? 10 point drops in $50 stocks is most preferable....

Thanks

Dan Ross

P.S.
Did anyone see Nightline tonight? I LOVED IT.....

<< Roger, please tell me I'm doing the right thing by holding onto my YHOO short. I'm getting singed big time right now. >>

I'm not Roger but let me take a stab at putting it into perspective for you.

NSCP had a market cap over $6 billion back when it had a lot less revenues than today and little earnings. YHOO's market cap is only half that right now.

People who are shorting YHOO should plan on it doubling just to be safe and short the proper amount.

Mongo, I am holding my yhoo short and will short more if it crosses $70. As to whether you should hold your position, I can not say....

Mongo, if this is any consolation, the trendline was broken by 3% on YHOO....I say she makes an attempt at 70 and fails....In fact I may short it if she gets close to 70...The pullback could be quite enjoybable, just like INTC trying to take out 80.....Mark

shorting a stock based on valuation alone is one of the dumbest thing you can do. The Internet is so new and still in its infantcy, there is no possible way to value any of these companys with any degree of accuracy. PE is useless. Start-up costs for these companies is so huge, but recurring costs are very low. Economies of scale is the ultimate engine for this UFO.
