I think you'd have a better chance conveying your ideas to republicans if you invoked their emotions instead of facts. They spent decades denying global warming because their party told them it was about their feelings and their hate of liberals. They spent decades forgiving the explosion of debt under tax cutting republicans because their need to hate liberals surpasses all else. If you want republicans to believe something, blame it on liberals. It works every time.
