DJT doled out $12billion to help farmers affected by the trade war.

Specifics of the aid package for farmers:Amount: $12 billion would offset proposed $11 billion losses from tariffs.

First part: Direct payments to producers of soybeans, sorghum, corn, wheat, cotton, pork and dairy.

Second part: Authorize the purchase of fruit, nuts, rice, beef, pork and dairy products for redistribution to federal nutrition assistance programs.

Third part: Put resources to finding new markets for farmers to sell their products abroad.

More details: Released on Aug. 24.
