Not exactly boilerplate. Would scare the hell out of me if I had AMD shares, even more if I was dependent on them for components (Compaq).

They could really use a white knight to buy them out, someone with deep pockets and precess technology expertise, TXN would be a scary partner. I doubt that Jerry's ego would allow that to happen unless they were on the brink of going under.
