Worked is a relative term. If you are part of the 10% who use 80% of the insurance resources, while paying nothing, then of course it works for you. But if you are part of the 90% who pay a big premium and barely use it, while watching your premiums increase 20-30% per year, then it doesn't work at all. Socialism is always like this. It is always designed to help the minority and screw the majority. It's because Socialists never seem to have majored in mathematics or understand practical economic or financial modeling.
