You say: "The world needs to get out of the "growth" mindset and get into "sustainability" mindset ..."

I say: "What's needed is a global buy-in for a program of sustainability and resilience."

You say: "Immigration is neither the problem nor the solution. It is an entirely unrelated matter that is used for the wrong reasons."

I say: "... current economics, the economics of capitalism and consumerism is a false construct."

By conventional and current economics, this statement is true: "So we NEED immigrants."

By the logic of true economics, of Schrodinger, Daly et al., it's false.

"Erwin Schrödinger has described life as a system in steady-state thermodynamic disequilibrium that maintains its constant distance from equilibrium (death) by feeding on low entropy from its environment—that is, by exchanging high-entropy outputs for low-entropy inputs. The same statement would hold verbatim as a physical description of our economic process. A corollary of this statement is that an organism cannot live in a medium of its own waste products."

We live in a duality. Don't know about you, but I'd like to see constructive discussion here — not making points. This dialogue requires recognition that simultaneously we're evaluating matters on two different planes. It does no good to stand on one economic plane, dismissing the logic and existence of the other. Both are real.
