Why is Apple eliminating content? Is it for altruistic purposes or is it for political/monetary reasons? There's probably a corporate liability element to this. Alex Jones has made some pretty dodgy accusations against Sandy Hook parents (amongst other things). Rightly or wrongly some governments seem prepared to come down hard on Facebook and others they perceive as being absentees in policing these potentially libellous statements. Corporations may not want to be on the wrong side of that association.
