Hi Tide,

MS would not put its credibility at risk by raising the estimate to engineer a miss. IMO, what this means is that MS already has put its private clients back in and is now preparing to run the stock back up. This is consistent with the reversal in M/S' opinion that was posted a while back. If M/S raises estimates too, we'll know.

I don't understand Monty's math. They raised their 4th quarter '97 estimate by $.01 but they raised their '97 annual estimate by $.03.

With only one quarter to go in the year, shouldn't any changes be equal or have they failed to adjust their prior quarter estimates to actual?
