this AM's connference call - sort of lays that same scenario. They had a call this AM from a partner in Europe looking to increase stake.Other majors in US, Europe and Japan have expressed interest recently. Medisense had their update mtg Monday and then disclosed that Abbott told them to back out. So CMET can now follow thru w/ the other JV partners from a position of strength that they wouldn't have had a yr or two ago. They have $4m in cash - which will allow them to continue trials as they look at other JV partners. So the news neutral to positive, since CMET gets a second kick at the JV can with a much better product to boot.
