This is the weekly look at the performance of the SOXM stocks and major indices in actual and percent terms in table and chart formats.

The 1st 3 days of the week started out OK but then on Thursday, and particularly Friday, the "hammer" came down hard with the week ending up down - 6.1%. This breaks a 5 week winning streak. All SOXM and SOX stocks finished in the red on Friday. Eight of the SOXM stocks were up while 20 were down for the week. All major indices were down for the week except for the NASDAQ which was up 27.09(+0.3%).

In 1985 Eastman Kodak, Bethlehem Steel, General Electric, Sears Roebuck, United States Steel, Westinghouse Electric, and F W Woolworth were all blue chips in the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

That didn't save them.
