Steve- they voted against their own interests. Hillary (for example) did understand their concerns- her platform addressed them far better than Trump's- except for their concerns regarding racism- Hillary didn't dog whistle about race- that was big problem for her because we all know now, that race played a huge factor in the election. You can pretend it was about issues- but people wanted that wall. They wanted that wall to keep those eeeevil minorities out- and hopefully get rid of all the other minorities so that we could have the kind of country those nice white people you live with "remember" so fondly- as Laura Ingraham puts it. I hate that. I'm not going to stop hating that. I really hate the kind of racism that looks back on white supremacy with nostalgia. That's not ok. I'm not running for office in shits crick, so I don't have to be loving to white racists. And without a Comey interfering, and with a more energized election- as I think the next one will be- independents and dems can win the election- without having to pander to racists. Now isn't that a nice thought?

the problem that I see is that many rural uneducated poor people are easily swayed by slick talking bible thumpers and crooked politicians, then there is racism, deep seated racism that has been passed down by grandparents and parents, that is hard to change, before trump became POTUS i thought things were getting better in America, we can all see now its become worse under the blonde idiot, every racist fool believes they can openly discriminate against anyone of color
