The FFs weren't actually geniuses collectively; they flubbed plenty of things while writing the Constitution. Madison and Hamilton were among the smartest and best read of them; they should have listened to them more often.

He proposed a simple, effective modification to SS which, by now, would be a large fraction of the way to award fixing it. His own party wouldn’t even support it. You’ve seen the nonsense of ACA. AND. O ONE HAS EVEN MENTIONED Medicare, which is the nearest threat.

No, these programs are destined to either die or break the nation.
