<<Steve/Pat: I agree that DMT is well on it's way to becoming THE line code. Westell
has a DMT chip from LSI with the AMTX/TI deal. This is great for trials, but
Westell needs that TI and/or MOT solution. It's my understanding that Alcatel
doesn't have a mass deployable silicon solution...yet. I think they call their next
silicon release "R3". The "R2" release is poor on the power issue.>>

You left out the only currently available ADSL DMT chip (ADI AD20msp910). Do you know of any problems with it??

I have talked to several engineers with Efficiency Networks and Pulsecomm and they were very happy with it. They didn't understand why the engineers at Westell had any trouble working with it. They stated that it was very straight-forward design that was easy to work with. Both companies are already offering commericial products based on this chipset.
