Even in Arkansas we understand that correlation is meaningless in the absence of proof. In fact, correlation is commonly a result of two variables being correlated with a third variable.

For example, there is a strong correlation between shark bites and ice cream consumption. Year after year.

I’m sure, brilliant individuals that you are, you fully understand this phenomenon and the reference was just a silly slip. After all, you understand basic statistics, right?
