A reverse split would be a devastating to the shareholders. I went thru this a couple of times. Most recently with THQ. If you stayed with THQ after the reverse (not many did), and added to your position, (not many thought that was wise either), you would have been ok in the long run. Today THQ trades at >20.00. 3 years ago the stock did a 15:1
reverse when it was under .50. However, probably greater than 90% of the time these things do not work out to the benefit of shareholders. MPRS would be better to accept the Small Cap Listing, stabilize and grow the company again (a little optimistic) and apply in the future for an NMS listing. Otherwise MPRS should have sold the company to GTIS, accounting irregularities in all, its far better than facing a potential delisting and/or reverse! At least the shareholders would not get hurt as badly. If not GTIS then someone else. MPRS should put themselves on the block to the highest bidder. This is a console driven market right now. Many would salivate at the prospects of porting over some of MPRS games to the console platform. I don't believe MPRS has the financial wherewithall (cash, development, distribution) to undertake it themselves. PC gaming growth is a respectable 10-15%. Console growth is astounding. >50%. There may only be a two year window of opportunity to take advantage of this (potential new technology in 2000). To Mr. Race: SELL THE COMPANY SOON! Maxis went to ERTS last year for 125M (2 x sales). MPRS should fetch 2 x sales or 5 3/4. TAKE IT!!
