Ben: My fundamental point is that all the debate about CB selling, CB lending, market manipulation, etc. misses the primary factor behind the gold bear -- increasing U.S. economic and military hegemony in the world as well as the complete takeover of both political parties by the Fortune 500. But the times may be changing. I will soon post a very interesting analysis arguing that counties around the world are starting to recognize the need for a new balance of power where the U.S. will not be as dominant as it is today. And the best gold forecaster I am aware of (Hepcat on the KITCO thread) who was relentlessly bearish all the way down now says that the bottom is in.
