This has been a big win for Republicans in four ways:

1) They have more money for yachts and Ferraris
2) The economy gets a short term boost while the Republicans are in control of the government
3) Republicans will claim the need to reduce social spending because the government doesn't have enough money
4) Democrats will eventually be the ones forced to raise taxes to solve the Republican created problem, making it difficult for them to get re-elected
